Dr. Quinn Gentry (affectionately known as “Dr. Quinn”) is President and CEO of Messages of Empowerment Productions, LLC (TEAM-MOE) – a public health and management consulting company specializing in organizational effectiveness, women’s health, program evaluation, and community engagement.  She also serves as Senior Vice President of Engagement for Bosspreneur, an entrepreneurship coaching and development franchise.   Prior to launching her own business, Dr. Quinn worked as a corporate executive for several Fortune 500 companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, and Wal-Mart Corporations.  She also served as aPolitical Intelligence Officer for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and held behavioral research and teaching positions at Emory University and Georgia State University. Dr. Quinn is a highly respected and sought-after workshop facilitator, consultant, and public speaker.  

Dr. Quinn has over 25 years of leadership experience in government, corporate, and non-profit organizations.  Prior leadership and officer positions held include: Technical Leader and Program Director for multiple sponsored research projects; President of the Black Affairs Programfor the CIA; and she served seven years as Chair of the Leadership Summitfor the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. - Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter.   In addition, Dr. Quinn is a former Program Director for the 100 Black Men’s Project Success Mentoring Program (The Atlanta Chapter), and Founder and Managing Director of The Inner-City Achievers Foundation.  Other select professional accolades include – past recipient of the Texas Christian University (TCU) Leadership Award, valedictorian of the 2013 Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Emerging Leaders Program, recipient of the Red Pump Award for her work in HIV Prevention and Intervention, and the recipient of the Center for Black Women’s Wellness 20thAnniversary Health Leader Award.  

Dr. Quinn is primarily known for her work as a social and behavioral scientist and subject matter expert on a wide range of social and health threats of women and girls.  She has alsoserved as a Principal Investigator, Senior Scientist, and Research Analyst on numerous assessment and evaluation studies at the federal, state, and local government levels.  As an executive leadership coach, Dr. Quinn has conducted workshops and customized sessions for business and community leaders, managers, frontline and technical staff, as well as for entrepreneurs and the faith-based community. She has authored over 50 publications and presented at top-tier professional conferences in the fields of public and women’s health, HIV/AIDS, and sociology. She wrote, directed, and produced “Divine Intervention”, monologue readings to bring awareness to the intersection of HIV, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness among black women.  Dr. Quinn has also authored 11 books on a broad range of topics, namely leadership, entrepreneurship, program evaluation, mentoring, and black feminism.  She currently has a number of manuscripts underway in her quest to publish 50 books by age 50 (August 18, 2018)!  She was a featured author at the 2016 Boule of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, where she released 3 new books. 

Dr. Quinn completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and holds a Ph.D. degree in Sociology from Georgia State University.  She earned an M.B.A. degree in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University and completed her undergraduate studies at Texas Christian University where she received a B.A. degree with dual majors in Political Science and History, and a minor in International Relations.  

Dr. Quinn is a licensed minister and graduate of the Women’s Institute of Ministry, and has served as a course instructor for the Bible Institute at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.  She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, where she grew up in the inner-city’s Perry Homes Community.  She is a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and enjoys dancing, live bands, spoken word, and creative writing.
